Sauteed Artichoke stem & Asparagus

One night I combined these two ingredients, because I had left over artichoke stems that I did not want to go to waste. So I took some butter and sauteed these bad boys ! Makes a perfect topper for greens or a side dish.
Ingredients
2 Large Artichoke stems
4 Large Asparagus julienned
1/2 juice of lemon
1 teaspoon Adobo Seasoning
2 Garlic cloves chopped
2 Tablespoon butter

Directions
Cut ends off of Artichoke stems. For large stems, hold the stem up right, carefully slice off green skins from the stems , exposing the hearts of the artichoke stem. Then julienne the artichoke stems. Place butter into pan on medium heat. Then place julienned artichoke and asparagus into heated pan. Sprinkle lemon juice onto veggies and cook for 5 mins. Then add adobo seasoning and continue to cook for another 5 mins. Artichokes & asparagus should still have its color, if it looses its color and gets pale green you cooked it too long ! Shame on you. Place over mixed green salad and serve with balsamic vinaigrette dressing !
